user corrections on the server rips where are they stored?

I have edited a few albums on my ns01 that the Naim software could not identify, but what happens with this information  is it stored locally or transmitted to one of the data bases. If it is stored zlocally is it part of the backups performed by the servers?

I guess you are making these changes in Naim Desktop Client?  That's the only place you should be making them.  If so, the changes you are making are being written to the relevant music files stored on the NS01, or on your NAS if that's where your music files are stored.  It's the same as going into the relevant folder via Windows, right-clicking and renaming - except that you must not do that with music ripped on the NS01 as it may stuff-up the database.  Destop Client is the only way to edit these files.

Your edits are stored locally and are backed up - you should only change or edit metadata on music ripped on the Naim Music Server via the servers own web interface, front panel GUI (on HDX and NS03), Desktop Client or nServe.
