We're off to see Martin Simpson on 17 May. He's playing in the church in Westbourne, less than a five minute walk from my house. A couple of hours of music, then it's only 50 yards to the pub.

Linn Lounge Live presents Emily Barker @ KJ West One, Thu 16 May

This exclusive performance will mark the official signing of Emily Barker to Linn’s own record label, Linn Records. Linn's Managing Director, Gilad Tiefenbrun, will be there to tell the tale of how he discovered this rising young star. (I'm sure Emily will like that description of her overnight success!)

It's been a very quiet year for me as we have a 18month old but Soundgarden and Queens of the Stone Age will help to end it with a bang!
