Where to download?

HDTracks are only being prevented from selling outside the US by the terms of their license.

I'm not sure about the legalities of this but, as far as I see it, if you act as a 'proxy' I can't see any difference to you buying it as a gift for a friend abroad.

The only real difficulty is likely to be the practicality of you 'owning' the purchase in your own HDTracks account. So, if I somehow lost a purchase you made on my behalf, it would be difficult for me to recover the lost content without relying on you. (Not meaning that you are unreliable, just that if a lot of people did it you may regret having made the offer!)

Having said all that, I'm warming to the idea as the restriction in HDTracks is really p*ssing me off!
