Anyone came across this young man (Jake Bugg) - played on 6music / Jools Holland and some good stuff on youtube. Album out early October - I like his song writing and style.

Yes, I saw him on Jools, where he did two different style of songs - both equally good. Unfortunate surname however.

Country Song was used for a TV ad earlier this year. I can't remember what for but it's a bad sign when the music is more memorable than the product. I couldn't believe he was only 18 or so and from Nottingham.

I'll definitely be checking the album out.

The advert in question was set in a pub and promoted Greene King beer. It can be found on YouTube.

Alternatively, you could buy Jake's album which was released on Monday. I particularly like his more folkier songs, such as Country Song and Note to Self. He has a touch of genius no doubt.

He is also touring a lot this autumn and winter.
