Qute with NAP 250-2 vs SuperUniti

Posted by: Audiofool on 16 September 2012

This is my first post on the Naim forums. I currently have a Qute running as a preamp into a NAP 200. I’m very happy with the performance. However, I’m thinking of upgrading the amp on the Qute to a used NAP 250-2 OR selling the Qute and the NAP 200 I currently have and going the SuperUniti route. The out of pocket upgrade costs of going the SuperUniti route is not that much more than just upgrading my NAP 200 to a NAP 250-2 as I would sell my Qute and NAP 200 to help pay for the used SuperUniti. The one box solution of the SU has some appeal. Which route would you take and why? What would you anticipate the sound quality differences will be between the Qute+NAP250-2 and the SuperUniti? Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

I agree.  After having just explored the idea of adding new speakers to my Qute, I have decided that I need more power.  Love the Qute but in my room and with the speaker options available to me ( I am looking to improve on my Epos ES11s) I need more power.

So am about to explore Uniti2 and SuperQute, and will look to hang on to Epos's for a bit longer.

Looking fwd to the journey.

Don't you thnk the SU has a dirfferent characteristic than the ND5XS/NaitXS?
