XMAS WISH LIST

Posted by: Cbr600 on 19 September 2012

I know it's early, but if you could ask Naim to produce anything for Xmas what would you be asking Santa for. This would then give Naim some good thinking time on the run up to Xmas.

Maybe a particular kit upgrade, or a new product that they are missing.

The thread might even give the Naim boys a straw poll view of what people are thinking

Its a bit of light hearted fun only

A plug-in device for the pre amps that detects how far away I am, and adjusts the volume to suit. Tony

The option of different coloured illumination.

Green is so 2004.

I would like for the following NOT to be reissued again this year:

  1. Merry Xmas Everybody
  2. Merry Xmas (War Is Over)
  3. Simply Having a Wonderful Xmas Time
  4. Do they Know it's Christmas?
  5. Last Christmas
  6. White Christmas

I would like Christmas to be cancelled due to austerity measures.

Humbug!

However, I wouldn’t mind to celebrate the Yuletide with this wonderful gem…

Shame it's jolly well expensive!

I would like the Swinging Buildings' magisterial "Praying for a Cheaper Christmas" to be this year's No.1

For those that haven't heard it, here it is: click here

Naim to produce a Cliff & The Shadows' "Greatest Xmas Hits of All Time" LP.

....OK, you can transfer this post to the "Not Nice" thread....

Cheers

A power supply upgrade for my Naim logos so they burn brighter and more musically.

Posted on: 22 September 2012 by Cbr600

Get real julian. That upgrade would be of no benefit at all , unless they used dilithium crystals ( beam me up Scottie)

Naim fairy lights for the outside of the house. All green with their own dedicated PSU. Fantastic.

+1 for the fairy lights along with a naim advent calander and maybe a box of naim crackers with a voucher in side for some kit and a naim joke. A tall order I know.

Try to think of value rather than price.

One thing I would be interested in is a Naim one box solution ( that really is a single box).

Something that you could throw into a kitchen with everything included, unlike the current "claimed" all in one.

Would be great to have a cute with integral speakers that could stream from the main system

It would be nice if all hi-fi units could be made to work WIRELESS  like the wireless internet connection i am using as i type this post. What with my umpteen boxes + the bosses 3 boxes its spagetti junction gone mad behind the units. I think its got to come oneday. It would be brill just to be able to plonk a box on the shelf, power up and play. I feel certain within the next 20yrs or so all cables will be a thing of the past.

+1

and put the power amps in the speaker cabinets if necessary, at least for entry level kit.

(We could then have endless discussions as to whether wireless v cable was best)

Cheers

BOSE wave thingy then.

...but why would you expect NAIM to lower themselves to that level?

Or you could take the view that it could be Naim creating a version of the cute to show the rest f the world how to produce high spec kit to meet this market.

Naim could raise the spec not lower themselves. And let's be clear, Naim are obviously trying to attract the mass markets as well as the specialist sector

Just received an offer to trade my 555ps for a new DR version at a good rate.

Very tempted to book an early Xmas treat!
