Beach Boys remasters

Some of the BB LPs are being reissued as remasters this week. The interesting thing for Naim fans is that I think they're all in HDCD, which means that the later ones such as Sunflower and Surf's Up will be in HDCD for the first time*. Released by Capitol worldwide after positive response to a Japanese initiative, but irritatingly for us BB fans, no bonus tracks - so we''ll have to wait for the missing Dennis Wilson masterpiece from Surf's Up.

On another positive note, some of the tracks (e.g. the whole of Smiley Smile) are in stereo for the first time.

And, of course, people can now buy their 38th copy of Pet Sounds.
