Heads Up Neil Young Vinyl Bargain

Posted by: Richard S on 06 October 2012

Amazon are offering the forthcoming Neil Young & Crazy Horse Triple LP "Psychedelic Pill" on pre-order today for a bargain £18.85

By comparison it is 75 quid on HMV online...

I've just pre-ordered and thought a few others might be interested.

Amazon.com have the vinyl version for $75 rather than .co.uk for £75. Says he who is still waiting for his Sunken Condos from the US! Neil Young's Pono hi-res download site (2013) sounds interesting for you streamers too.

For a tenner, the CD pair is a no brainer before investing 70 for the vinyl version. First play going on behind me. If you like Like a Hurricane/Cortez the Killer type Neil Young and Crazy Horse you are gonna love this, it's awesome! What a year, a good Fagen, a good Santana and now this! Is the vinyl version good?

Cheers John

Yes Stu, so am I. It still looks good on my Amazon Orders so I think they'll honour it.

For those who weren't fast enough the album is on the Vinyl Goldmine site for £27.09. I know the site is in Poland but Greg provides a very good service. I've used him many times. He's also competitive price wise with 45rpm records.

I like it.

You can listen on the naim label site.

Its a little bit different from his stuff with the Fun Lovin Criminals in a nice way..

It will get a lot of plays over the weekend.

Still working my way through the new Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited 2 box set that came today.

Just noticed amazon uk have reduced the vinyl  price from in the 70s down to £54.86.

JPC have it for 34.99 Euro at the mo, still a lot cheaper.

Playing CD now. Strong preference for disc 2 over disc 1.

Posted on: 09 November 2012 by JBGWild

Ive only played Disc 2 once so far, I struggle to get past Driftin Back, the 27 minute opener on side 1................. "Don't want my MP3". Sheer brilliance and such a blast of fresh air. Can't wait for the vinyl.

Amazon price for vinyl in the US is far from a bargain; $69.99 - ouch!  Has anyone here seen a better deal?

Wow, thanks!

Manchester and London for me!

Posted on: 15 November 2012 by JBGWild

Nothing on the Apollo's website yet. Or Neil Young's website......uncut suggest it's a 'country' Neil Young rather than with Crazy Horse. Finger's crossed it's the 'horse.

Hey,

is this link correct as it refers to the sadly departed Ben Keith?

Richard

Posted on: 17 November 2012 by IanG
It does look like that could be old news. The last time he played Manchester Apollo was 11/12 March and Ben Keith was in the band. This was 5 or 6 years ago. Massive coincidence if its the same dates this time
Posted on: 18 November 2012 by FangfossFlyer

Doh!!!!

That is when I last saw him at both Manchester and London.

So the details are old but???????????
