Remembering Tenko

My son-in-law has just published his latest book "Remembering Tenko", and the bloke who (I am told) does the voice-overs on UK Gold put up this video on You Tube about it.  You might find it interesting.

Have you ever listened to the brilliant Radio 4 comedy "Ed Reardon's Week"? It's about an embittered hack writer whose career highlight was penning an episode of "Tenko".

Think I will buy this book for my Mum as an Xmas pressie - she was a huge fan of the show.

Never listened to that program.  I remember watching Tenko when it was on all those years ago, but can't say I'm really a fan.  SWMBO and I are mentioned in the book's credits for 'babysitting' - i.e. looking after our grandson while his parents were out at various events and information gathering for the book. We weren't actually at the launch event at the Imperial War Museum (babysitting again!)

If you want a copy of the book (or any others of those he's written, then I believe they are on Amazon or direct from the writer/publisher at Classic TV Press.  Not sure if the Kindle version is available yet, as my daughter (Marisa) was still editing it last weekend!

Alas,  various members of the "National Press" didn't attend the launch event because Stephanie Beecham didn't come, and Stephanie Cole was ill, which was the reason they gave.

I hope Burt Kwouk was there

Already ordered the book from Amazon (it's had good reviews). My Mum has only just got the hang of email so a Kindle will be way too much for her
