Your Block List... Self Censorship for?

Posted by: Tony2011 on 30 October 2012

I have just noticed that now there is a new "tool" called -Your Block List- where, apparently, you can dispose of all the unecessary need of communication, dialogue and debate if one does not agree with someone's opinion or point of view . If you don't agree with what one says just block them. Why didn't one think of this before? What's wrong with reporting someone's behaviour or stand if you think they've over stepped the mark(already stablished by Naim)or just pure common sense.

Have Naim gone mad?

I think it is a great feature.

I've blocked that Guido Fawkes bloke, as I think he posts absolute rubbish.

And half the time I know what he's going to post next.

All the best, Guy

Tony.

Please don't quote Gale 401 in future, he's on my blocked list. Fail to comply and you'll find yourself blocked.

How can anyone block Stu? He's a good man and entitled to his opinions. He's just a bit confused due to the amount of stuff he used to do when he was younger. I heard he helped Peter Tosh write Bush Doctor. Just kidding Stu!

Wabbit or Duck?

Can't see the point of a blocking feature, forgive me but I thought forums were to encourage debate and inform people. I don't want to belong to a forum that is all one sided and pretty dull. If we were all the same, the world would make for a very dull experience IMO.

By all means report posts or threads that are OTT or abusive.

What happened to democracy?

Blocking sounds like or the same as sending someone to Coventry!
