n stream 3.2 is out.

Posted by: Dustysox on 12 November 2012

Folks,

3.2 is up and running!

Not loaded it yet. Hopefully some "treats" in there from wish lists.

Thanks, 3.2 now running here. Changes I can see so far are info button now on album search, rather than playing media only.. Good for browsing.. And a link to Amazon for albums referenced on the info

screens.

Also saved playlists created with earlier versions of Nstream do work with this version as well and are not deleted when you upgrade, at least they didn't for me.

Cheers

Simon

Does N Stream allow the Year to be shown alongside Album details or Art? Can't see it on the iTunes download page. This is the one thing I miss on Sonos and i-portables.

Hi

I just installed,  loading of the library seems faster to me.

Which cannot be a bad thing

Still no Android version and won't run on my 1st generation iPod.... pah!

Playlists on my NDS are visible for a nano second and then the app crashes! Any suggestions?

I have to enable upnp compatibility to get the app to work and it's very slow. I can use the remote on my uniti without any problems. No other devices on my network are having any issues with twonky.

Im running twonky 6.0.38 on a ReadyNAS Duo v1 and I have an iPad 3 with iOS 6.01. Uniti is running 3.16.00

Those who have it running, is Album Year shown?

Posted on: 13 November 2012 by happygiraffe

as always mine is working only with compatibility mode on.

Simon refers to the info button on album search as well.  I can't see this - I have not loaded 3.17 yet so it may be that or perhaps I am looking in the wrong place.  Can others see this as well?

Scrolling is now excellent.

Ho ho ho, what is happening here. I upgraded this afternoon.with the previous version I could "tick" a record, and got the option to track the record/song to a playlist or somewhe in the queue. Where is all that gone. Does not work anymore !!! Hope this isn't true, otherwise version 3.20 is 5 steps back!!

My playlists are gone too !! Thank you developers ! This s**cks !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry that this update is biting some of you. I'm going to give it miss, with thanks for the feedback.

Album artwork is sharper, still figuring out the playlists.....

Thanks for the warnings, looks like I'll also hold off, hopefully a new following shortly!

Hi all, my excuses. my mistake, I had the nStream in compatibility mode and than playlists etc are not supported. I have adjusted the setting and back on track now. I am the one to blame :-)

Looks like faster than before. I am running a uniti with the latest firmware but ahhhh no fast forward or rewind within a track as promised in a thread. Hoping this for the next release. My tv does with the same NAS

Would someone mind looking if Album Year is included on info?

Posted on: 13 November 2012 by Forester

Andrew,

Album year is stated in Album details section, just after track listing.  Isn't this just part of the info package rather than update related?

Posted on: 13 November 2012 by Iver van de Zand

Agree

Posted on: 13 November 2012 by Simon-in-Suffolk

Forester, yes you need the firmware that supports playlists - and then when you select the album the screen that asks you whether to add to playlist or play the albu, also has the info button.

I think it was 3.17 that introduced playlists.

This version of Nstream appears a good piece of software.

Graham with regard to your issue - it sounds Apple IOS related rather than Nstream software related. Connect to itunes, copy your playlists off your IOS device and delete them from your IOS device using iTunes (file sharing). Check you can then run Nstream. If still ok then copy back and see if Nstream still starts ok. Certainly no problems here with playlists. (remember playlists are stored on your IOS device, NOT your NDS).

The more demanding/capable nStream becomes the more likey issues with it working with IOS will occur from time to time in certain installations. If OS's were perfect this wouldnt be the case but......

DIdn't see the word update in the thread title, and couldnt see Year in last version of N-Stream on Itunes when I looked so I was hoping it was new. But a quick  'Yes' after asking three times would probably be more helpful than querying which thread the question is posted in! I help out on a lot of other forums, Photography, Music, geocaching etc, and people there actually try and be helpful without such negative remarks . Thanks for your time in answering.
