Folks,
3.2 is up and running!
Not loaded it yet. Hopefully some "treats" in there from wish lists.
After pondering it for a few days I went ahead and there were no issues. Does the app run a bit faster? I think so. Works smoothly but is still devoid of the one feature which would make it complete. But I can wait.
All the issues I have had to date (they are few and transient) go back to the router. Phil had to step in at one stage. We might be running on ubiquitous technology but the permutations seem endless. And in fairness from my perspective the issues do not reside with the audio hardware or its dedicated software.
Does the app run a bit faster? I think so.
Definitely faster on my Ipod.
@Allen, very good suggestion ....... In the past I used the iPeng product to control the squeezebox. iPeng had the capability of the "jump to", as you describe
Wow, congrats Allen,
Any chance of a full report when you stop "wowing"' ![]()
Hi Allen, yes I think the 555PD DR seems to work rather well with the NDS.. Interestingly I prefer the non DR version with the NDAC. The DR version on the ndac makes the ndac sound a wee bit clinical, and non DR version on the NDS seems to rob some body and life from the sound.
These component matching challanges can be quite a puzzle, it's certainly not automatic and auditions are essential.
Glad you are getting on with your 555PS DR. I have heard myself a change as they warm up / bed in.. So hopefully it will improve for you further over the next few weeks.
Simon
The NDS and 555PS DR does seem a perfect pairing - not surprising really as they were parallel developments and I suspect most of the critical listening was done with this PS.
I've been running this for a couple of months now so it's settled down very well.
Well, I look forward to getting my 555PS updated; I am somewhere on 'the list.'
I checked into trading the non-DR for the DR, but the deal I was offered was at twice the cost of the DR upgrade itself, so it did not make sense. The market is just not as good here in the States for non-current Naim equipment, I guess.
