A question for Society Of Sound members?

Posted by: Harry on 16 November 2012

I figured that for the yearly sub I couldn't lose money, so I signed up. I am particularly interested in Tubular Bells and So. Have these ever been offered to members?

I suspect that additional payment will be required for two such milestones but I wonder if it is worth hanging on in case they are offered to members in the future?

Harry,

I think the SoS is GREAT VFM.

I like the newer format of providing a classic album (LSO) and a.n. other album, this month a Peter Gabriel live version of So from 1987.

The new So remaster has not been offered, yet.

PGs last album was provided in a lobotomised form - Half Blood, and encouraged me to buy the album - which is very good.

I have bought the new So remaster ....but, I actually prefer the Live 1987 version in 24bit - and is excellent.

My advice to everyone who streams is - join SoS.

Thank you.

A part of my decision was the quality of the material offered to members who had a free subscription. I thought it was generous and I believe that such a service should be supported for the benefit of us and the artists. Not to mention keeping the burners turned up so that hopefully the flood gates open wider.

I have the SOS membership...mainly enjoying the classical downloads.

Great VFM, as said.
