Album art problem on my Ipad
Posted by: keano on 19 November 2012
I have just ripped the Brian Eno - Lux album. In Bliss it shows the correct album cover but on my Naim Ipad app in the Folders it shows a different cover but when i push on the cover and goes from folder - Brian Eno it shows the correct cover. What to do?
Do you have a track by this artist on a compilation album perhaps?
Asset displays artwor at the pper level based on the first album discovered, I wouldn't be surprised if other UPNP servers do as well.
I resolved this by having 2 separate sets of directories, separating out the compilations into the 2nd set and getting the server to scan this after the main set, this corrected this behaviour and I see the correct artwork.

thanks. will play thursday afternoon again to refresh my memory
I have a similar problem with the Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits Album. It rips OK shows the correct cover but for the artist it has various artists and I cannot change it, the system gnerates an error and reverts back.

Ya, various artists and greatest hits albums are a killer on the metadata. I'd suggest going into Dbpower amp and re-applying the artist to all of the tracks. I forget the exact term, but you can have album artists or track by track. you want to turn off track by track.
For what its worth, I've just deleted all of my compilations and greatest hits and am reripping carefully. I've even had to do this on some 2-3 disc sets where the second disc shows up as "Album_1"
Not sure if bliss can do this level of tagging, though it might auto fix the artist issue. email Dan at Bliss, he's super nice.
