Hi folks!
I hope you won't lynch me for this request. I'm considering these two in the final choice for buying an all-in-one streaming device. Does anyone have experiences with Revox in general or/and the Joy S119 in particular? Would be thankful for any information. Is Revox something like Bose? overpriced technique crap design-shit?
Cheers,
Sascha

Sasha,
Looks like a "Qute" device. It looks retro Chrome Bumper era Naim. Nice. Revox is definitely way finer than Revox, I tried to carry the line 8 years ago when I first opened Tune Hi-Fi. I liked the aesthetic and the sound was good but is was expensive, but no more than Naim. I like that the Naim has a front screen. Must be better for setting up and trouble shooting and everything.
If it is a real contender, you must go listen and interact with it. It may have the same or similar streaming card, but that is where similarities will end. My money is on the Naim.

Hi connon prince!
Interesting. The display is indeed an argument - but for me against the Naim Unitiqute! As I would never ever use it except for setting up it is a waste of material and space. The use of the Revox Joy however is completely over the remote or - and for me that is a killer feature - over an iphone app! You can not only search your music library on upnp servers like on n-stream but control the whole device with it! As a consequence I don't need a physical remote (I hate those) and the whole front can be one of beautiful black glass. Awesome! Including - the body of the Revox Joy is of pure 4mm thick aluminum - perfect match with my MacBook Air.
So controlling the whole device via an iphone app erasing the need of a physical remote AND the perfect matching design and high quality aluminum finish are the two killer features that will likely move myself to buying the Revox Joy instead of the Naim. Nevertheless I have to listen to it first. I will do this on December 4th and will share my experiences with you here.
Cheers,
Sascha
