playlists, again, sorry...

Posted by: ken c on 05 December 2012

can someone cleverer and younger than me explain how i can create the sort of playlists i used to create with dtc where i would just highlight a whole bunch of albums and create a playlist from that. Looks like with nstream application on my iPad, i have to do this seequentialy, one by one, i.e., select an album, send it to a playlist, select next album, send to playlist, etc etc. very tedious, i am sure there is a faster way?

I think this is the way it has to be done, but it won't be that time consuming because there's a limit of 250 songs on a playlist - won't take you long to reach that an album at a time.

Not sure I'm cleverer or younger but as Gavin says, that's how it's done. I have also had the same thoughts as you though. Maybe in the future there will be improvements here. Lets hope so but it's not a real pain really. atb, Anton

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.  I have just installed a ReadyNAS Duo and copied my iTunes albums to it.  I can see and play the music....songs, albums, artists, but when I create a new playlist and go to the playlist listing on the App there is nothing there (it says empty).  I was originally using Eyeconnect and this facility was working perfectly.  Computer system is iMac.  Any help/advice would be appreciated.  Thank you.

don't know whether this is the same issue. i also dont 'see' my playlists where i expect to see them, uner CD collection. instead, i have to go to the 'play queue' and then 'Playists' (for those that i have created in n-stream) and then i'm able to see them. strange usability choice, but i have learnt to live with it now...

y're welcome John. All this streaming stuff is new to me too... but i have been very lucky so far. The change to make my Virgin SuperHub modem only and then attaching a DrayTek router was a big step fwd in getting rid of a lot of very annoying dropout problems.
