disappearing photos with photobucket

Posted by: davidf on 09 December 2012

I have posted photos on 2 different threds, most recently yesterday on system pics. I have used photobucket as source of pics.   They came out great, then later disappeared with notice saying "photos have been deleted" and then 2 minutes later they pics are back. This has happending several times over past 24 hrs. It happened just 2 minutess ago, 1st my pics were gone, then 2 minutes later they are back.  Explain this please....david

It may be the link to Photobucket has been temporarily broken, since it depends on this to view the photos on the forum. If you delete them from Photobucket I think there is a message to that effect.

On my earlier thread I had moved the photos from my "library" to "new album".  So I understand why they disappeared.  But  in system pics thread I did no such thing.  I looked on Photobucket site and they recommended remvoving cookies on browser and cleaning cache- all I have just done. So will see if pids now stay up. davidOriginally Posted by sheffieldgraham:

Have to say when i use my laptop i put on a headband that says....IDIOT....have to hold my hands up and say i am USELESS with computers. Making slow progress with the help of my 10 year old grandaughter.
Other half is mustard with all things IT,used to design software for IBM mainframes for banks etc, BUT wont help me one iota saying that if i want to play around on stupid message boards i am on my own.

Now trying a site called tinypics which looks better than Photobucket, but progress is still bloody slow.

thanks, my latest attempt (on system pics) is still working. I transferred those from photobucket after making adjustments in cookies and cache as suggested by photobucket.  Will see if they stay up.  Thanks, david
