Awful venues. I can't believe NY is going for the big buck. I've never enjoyed a concert at the O2 so I won't be buying a ticket.

Agreed re O2. A bit soul-less. I heard Radiohead there this year and the magnificence of the band carried it off despite the venue. Perhaps NY will be the same?

I think it is all the lame chain restaurants and fake pubs around the perimeter that set a bad scene on arrival. Rubbish part of London too.

Not a stadium arena fan anyway. Much prefer places like The Forum, Jazz Cafe and Shep Bush Empire but I suppose he would need to do a lot of dates at those to keep everyone happy.

Undecided on ticket. I think the gigs will be good though. Hope for some old stuff as well as the new.

Yep disappointing, soulless venue in Glasgow too so I might give the SECC a miss, was hoping for the Edinburgh Playhouse  but hey ho.

Not a particular fan of the 02 but I'll be there.

Perhaps NY can do it - Radiohead and Roger Waters both did, but the place is very soulless, I have to agree.

The LG (NEC) outside of Birmingham is "local" to me but I do not like the venue much preferring the NIA in the city centre. Will still try booking somewhere though on Friday, maybe even Dublin.

Typical, you wait ages for some good gigs and then two (other being Kraftwerk) come along just the wrong side of Christmas with all that vinyl waiting for you on t'interweb.

That tour t-shirt looks good too!

Just got standing tickets (better than sitting up in the gods) at the 02, makes up for not STILL not being able to get through to the Tate site for Kraftwerk.

Apologies for including Dublin as part of the UK and also for missing Newcastle off the list!

I also am disapointed in the venues but will be heading up to Newcastle!

Glad you got tickets. What is seating for concerts like at O2? My concern would be the slightly oblique position to the stage. I have only ever tried standing so was considering a change...

Depends where you are Mark. I wouldn't really recommend Level 4, which is up in the Gods, and if you are in blocks 401-404 or 419-422 you are almost on top of the stage so you see flock all.

410 -414 are up in the gods too but at least you're opposite the stage. Best seats IMO are in blocks 104 - 109 but you're quite a long way from the stage.

I prefer to stand if standing places are available.

Got tickets for Newcastle

Got tickets for Birmingham! Very excited. I know the venues aren't great (and why no Manchester??) but it's still Neil and he's getting on a bit now. This could be the last chance to see him with Crazy Horse.

Having attended the tour on this side of the pond last month I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.  Still rockin' at 67!  Mostly stuff from the new album but plenty of the old chesnuts.  He put in a good two hours.  He's even using a lot of the props which some of you may remember from the Rust Never Sleeps tour.

First time I've attended a rock concert which started with the Canadian national anthem complete with giant flag!  But I guess that was for the home-town crowd and will likely be dropped for the UK shows..... pity
