On first listen today the iRadio sounded fantastic and Spotify, on first pass, sounded great. iPhone and MabBookPro (streaming now to NDS) all sound great.
Need this weekend to start fully listening deeply, positioning the kit exactly where I want it and so on, but so far so very good. Optical in works. ATV was only £99 from Apple so worth it as it also allows me to stream from the laptop which is connected to NAS with the full iTunes ALAC library on it.

Hi Dan,
Looking forward to hear about your experiences with the AE solution!
For you who still follow this thread I’d like to tell that I had some struggling getting along with the NDX even after the SW upgrade. It sounded sharp, flat and cold. Not really in line with a 10k£ system. So I actually put the NDX out for sale. But before getting rid of it I made a call to a local Naim guru. He said he would be happy to take a closer look to my present system set up as soon as I had tried out the UPnP as source instead of plying from an USB disk. So I bought a NAS the next day and installed it. What can I say…
I would not have guessed that my system would have been the same in an A/B test. It is clear that the NDX has been designed for UPnP streaming, not playing from the USB port, and I’m so glad I experienced that before I sold it. Soundstage, warmth, detail, PRaT; everything was so drastically improved using UPnP. It makes me wonder why an USB connection was even added to NDX in the first place?
This streamer is so great and was obviously built for UPnP streaming, not plying from a USB. I hope this doesn’t scare other potential NDX users, not having a NAS or similar available from going for this great product.
To Naim: Unless the SQ from plying via USB on the NDX will be improved I’d suggest that you plug/remove the port. It almost killed my lust for Naim…
I don’t need to say that the NDX is not for sale anymore, do I?
