Thanks
Dumb question? Sorry, I know that it might be. But if anyone can enlighten me it would be a big help??
Thanks
Elbow, as far as I can tell, the music from iTunes Match can ONLY be streamed to an iOS device, not to OS X, etc. I believe it's intended to replicate one's hard drive based iTunes library for use with iOS devices, and not replace the iTunes library itself. Frustrating for me, too!
Elbow, I can't think of a way do do this. The Apple ecosystem does not directly support uPnP which is what the Naim streamers need to locate and serve music files. It's possible that there could be a 3rd party application that will allow this...
There is now a beta version of the Asset uPnP server for the Mac platform. In the Windows version you can select PC Sound Capture as an input - this streams whatever is playing on the PC out so other uPnP devices can play it. If the same feature has been included in the Mac version, this might be a possibility. You would play whatever you wanted from iTunes, then this would be streamed out for any local uPnP player.
Someone here may have tried the Mac version of Asset and know whether the sound capture feature is present.
Thanks guys. Appreciate the response.

You could play music from your iTunes Match account on your iPhone or iPad, and plug the iPhone or iPad into the usb input of any compatible player I'd think.
