The please wait input initialising message just stays on & never completes.
This has never happened before & resetting settings & turning it off has failed to work
Does anyone know how to fix this

As James hinted, its usually to do with modem/router issues. Before I upgraded to fibre optics, my UQ used to 'hunt' and just hang indefinitely with the promise it was initialising! With fibre optic and wireless, I no longer have such issues. If you are using wireless, it might be a good idea to relocate your modem/router, if possible. Otherwise, you can buy a longer antennae to improve reception.
