Is there anything even half-decent on the TV this Christmas?

Looks woeful to me but I might be missing something....?

Any recommendations?

The TV adaptation of another of William Boyd's books, 'Any Human Heart', screened last year, was not bad so I am hoping this one does not disappoint.

Another vote for 'Restless'. One of the few gems of drama on TV over the festering period.

I thought the new 'arty-farty' version of 'Wuthering Heights' was bloody awful, and gave up after a few minutes. And why did a recently made film need 4:3 screen-ratio to display correctly on a normal widescreen TV?
