Haveing just been given the Killers cd Battle & Burn for Christmas.
Very grateful but not the best Killers album.
I was wondering what else was received as a gift and what you thought of it.
looking forward to the new year

I forgot to say thanks to fellow Naimees because I got those suggestions from you people
Celebration Day (CD & Blu Ray) - Led Zeppelin
I love it. I've played it a few times and does get me reaching for the air guitar!
Grrr (CD boxed set) - Rolling Stones
It was a must have reminder for the amazing concert at the O2 last month.
Rod's Merry Christmas Baby
Good Christmas fun & well recorded!
Bought myself the Alt-J album, enjoying it lots.
We don't do Xmas presents at home, in fact we don't do Xmas. I recommend it.
We buy the house a 'present', make a substantial charity donation in lieu of the rest and encourage our families to do the same instead of buying gifts too.
I always make a few friends a 'Best of the Year' CD of new music and send that out with their Xmas card. Some reciprocate!

+1 for Led Zep - Celebration Day.
lots of people complaining about the sound quality. OK it's not the best but watching the Blu Ray more than makes up for it. My kids are sick of the sight it all ready.
The Clarke Ware Experiment (The House of Illustrious) 10 CD Box set, very atmospheric, but not heard fully.
Antony & the Johnsons Live, Muse HARRP Live and for my cheap pop side Kelly Clarkson's Greatest Hits.
Taking time to enjoy.....
The Beatles vinyl box set which had an extra A Hard Day's Night in it :-o
Couple of Goldfrapp Cd's,very good too!
Wintermusik by Nils Frahm, Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell and Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars. Got the p*** taken out of me by my daughter for my eclectic choice of music for my troubles though.

The Mother in law bought me the Complete EMI sessions by David Oistrakh - 17 CDs of top class music. Have just spent ages ripping them so that I can enjoy them on the main system.
But I haven't had chance to play it yet...
steve
Can - The Lost Tapes vinyl box set
Counting Crows - august and Everything After reissue 45rpm Analogue Productions
Peter Buck Solo album
Neil Young - Psychedelic Pill vinyl
But I haven't had chance to play it yet...

You'll enjoy it when you do ... Fully Qualified Survivor is one of my favourite albums and is Michael Chapman at his best ... a very underrated guitarist

Hi Bruce,
what was the track listing for your best of?
I got Go Mairir I Bhfad_Long Life To You - Zoë Conway and John Mc Intyre, a nice left field choice by my wife, newly commissioned Irish traditional music played by Zoë on fiddle and John on guitar. Excellent playing and some nice different takes on the genre from the likes of Lunny and Irvine.
