On vinyl (!). I had forgotten how wonderful this disc is, how great the title song, how masterful its arrangement by Randy Newman.
In times of excess and fanaticism like the present ones, such a disillusioned, disenchanted and secular perspective on life is hugely refreshing.
My opinion only.

Corner Man by The Cairo Gang.
This is a very good album. The track ‘Now You Are One Of Us’ is worth a listen or download.

The "Bass-meister" with his large ensemble (five trumpets including Randy Brecker, five reeds, four trombones, two French horns, Toots Thielemans on harmonica, Peter Erskine on drums with percussionist Don Alias and Othello on steel drum) really hit it out of the park.

From 1985 on vinyl s/h. Fun listen of 1950s R&B/R&R in retro-rock style ala the Stray Cats. Line up includes Bill Wyman, Ron Wood, Charlie Watts, Jimmy Page, Mel Collins, Andy Fairweather Low, Kenny Jones, and Ringo Starr.
