What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

I feel like death, so I just bought this after realising it's not in my otherwise extensive NY collection. G

GraemeH,

it is probably my favourite Neil album and I keep returning to it.

It has such a live, real sound to it so much so that I can feal and see Neil and the band paying it. I also love the tremble, pain and feeling in his voice.

Richard

p.s. Playing it on 1st release/pressing vinyl...have other copies but this is the best although I could do with a record cleaning machine!

1968 Marble Arch vinyl. This is a '60s reissue of the Pye release. This can be picked up for peanuts and is a superb album. SQ is as good as the Pye issue and the copy I have is near mint. Classic early Hooker.

The most talented female singer I've seen or heard in years. It seems Rae will appear with a band for the first time at these gigs - http://www.raemorris.co.uk/live/
