What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

The first from Uchida's excellent (mini?) series of Mozart concertos with the Cleveland. She hasn't lost her Mozart touch, but these are on the whole, tougher, muscular readings then her earlier recordings with the ECO / Tate. The (live) recording is well balanced and just about as good as live gets, just lacking the detail of a good studio recording. Applause is not included (thankfully).

Cheers,
