What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Dreadful beyond words.

What were they thinking, I wonder?

I like Andy Partridge, a wonderful songsmith.

BTW, Steven Wilson has got the master tapes of Nonsuch AND Drums & Wires. He started work on the remixes last December. Andy reported that Nonsuch sounded really good. I don't have either album, so look forward to these coming out. No idea when though.

Clearly, Yes's cr*p double LP didn't last long with floid, as he's listened to two albums much sooner than if he'd listened to the whole of that nonsense!

This is a copy of the front cover of the new Jeffrey Foucault (Cold Satellite) album called Cavalcade which is due out in May.

I am currently listening to the solo demos that Jeffrey recorded for the album and next up will be an EP that is currently been limited to 52 people worldwide (at the moment) outside his organization feat songs from Hank Williams, The Faces and Johnny Cash that the band recorded in a late night session.

Wonderful stuff

I love it, and have done since I was 12 yrs old. First Yes album I had. I've never done drugs but there are bits on this album that just make me float away!

When I was a lad, this was one of THE albums to be seen with under our arms. What on earth were we thinking? I find nearly all of Yes unlistenable now.

I seem to recall Tales from cryptographic nonsense being a triple album???? How we wasted precious fossil fuels in the 70's........

Bought today from Easy Street Records. On vinyl from 1987.  Chordophones abound.

Good God it's repetitive.

Remixes are never good as the originals.
