What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

On vinyl. I really wish they had done a 2 LP set rather than putting the last song on a 2-sided 7" disc. Oh well, at least they did a vinyl release.

Highly recommended.

i've not seen this disc before but just managed to find a site on internet to have free sample listens to a part of each track: All sounds beautifully performed in the most unstressed mellow way, lots of variety too.

But the only bastarda i can see is the artful £31.95 price tag on amazon uk [ouch!] : o

but i’ve put it on my wish list for now : )

Ask as an ordinary AirMail post without any insurance; I think max $30 total.

The Who. Odds & Sods. On Track Records vinyl from 1974.

Posted on: 21 April 2013 by joerand

Neil Young .Landing on Water. On vinyl from 1986. There was a dearth of good rock in 1980's.  Even Neil Young struggled.

Posted on: 21 April 2013 by joerand

The Marshall Tucker Band. Carolina Dreams. On vinyl from 1977. Decompressing from the techno Neil Young LP with some southern-fried rock. Very deep-fried with a heavy, fatty bottom end.  "Heard It In a Love Song" is a classic!
