What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

More 'new to me' music.  First listen, liking the feel so far.

What do you reckon Tony?

It's an odd album in the Zep canon, rather out on its own. But definitely nowhere near as bad as its detractors claim.

"Carouselambra" is bizarre but brilliant - one of their best tracks IMO.

Played on a double-manual Hans-Rückers; excellent record.

Since using SuperCap - some bird-singing at the background, really.

Side 4 'Rain'.

After listening to Cerys Drumming Special on Radio 6 music this morning. Apparently this was Ringo's favourite and in his opinion the best drumming he ever did in the studio with the Beatles.

I really enjoy ITTOD and find it quite uplifting played LOUD. G

Kevin,

Very underestimated album and like most Zep's albums very different from each another. Thank god! Had they sounded the same,  I would have stopped listening to them by vol II.

In The Evening is a great track and Plant's voice never sounded better IMHO but I must agree with you C. A. is  close to a masterpiece just along with P.G.'s IMTOD.

And Graeme, that's the only to listen to it.

More Haydn string quartets - they're quite addicting.

The Temper Trap [VINYL]

Yet another recommendation by Stu from last year. This is a fantastic album and worth a listen if you like tuneful 'indi' type music.
