What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Is it considerable better than the CD version ?
Which CD version? The original analogue transfer sounds fabulous. Later remasters sound predictably ****ed-up.

John.

Which version of the original WG do you have John? Is it the O3 matrix as that is supposed to be the one to own or is it an 01 or 02 matrix which has the chopped off beginning to Tom Sawyer.

I am a fan of the MFSL.

2nd listen:

not sure why i didn't get on with this yesterday, seems to be slightly heavy on the tonal bass though-out but maybe the recording is just a bit too close?

But i am enjoying this now,

a difference a day makes : )

Probably the greatest AC/DC album ever recorded and the album that got me hooked on music in 1980

I just had to have a listen as well to the 2003 CD remaster. It was a very well done album. Tight and lots of energy.

Another new Glossa what has outstanding sound quality.

The clavichord on continuo - has extra fine case-resonance sitting on the sound fluently as a very fine silent-silent bell-echo.

And Pandolfo's gamba has really tasteful overtones-billions..
