What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Pau Casals, Bach cello suites. He huffs and puffs and almost blows the house down but there's no denying the lyricism and soul of his performance.

Haven't played an Van in awhile so thanks Matt you have reminded me to dig out something of his.

No problem. I need to dig through my stacks and listen to some long forgotten LPs myself.

Kev, that's  Aenima by Tool. Along with NIN's Downward Spiral  it's one of the best Industrial Metal albums of the 90's. You've got to be in the mood to listen to them and today is one of those days!

Tony

PS. Even good Ol' Stu used to like them

An 'audiophile' record; NorthWest's booklet says that Nagra/Dcs904/Sonodore/etc...; really good record with a nice musical selection on it.

Wonderful-sounded 3 instruments; a virginal and two clavichords; original ones

Highly recommended.

Please note that any Alpha delivers this sound-quality...

 I think it's quite strange.

Great Music, Great Sound.

Original Vinyl.

Although this is the Japan line-up, the music is completely different from their more well-known material. Its mellow, sparse, almost ambient in nature.

 Amazing soundtrack!

Mike Keneally's collaboration with Andy Partridge gets better with each play.
