What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

First albums are very often the really special ones

I got a Rough Trade album club membership for Christmas from Mrs. Sloop and after an initial underwhelmed listening this is really growing on me.

If you're spotifying  go  for disco compilation and ballad of brick lane.

Good nite Tony. Lets do it again tomorrow. Bless ya heart dude

Apart from the Titanic dirge and the sub lilly rosemary and the jack of hearts "tin angel" this is a very enjoyable return to form with a wonderful groove rhythm and beat.

Came late to this as it was a Christmas present but i'm glad it didn't pass me by.

A relatively new one for me. Yes it's short at 37 minutes, but it's all class and an excellent recording. And who wouldn't rather have six good tracks rather than fifteen very average ones.
