I know this disc like the back of my hand, every nuance & inflection, and the SN2 continues to impress in terms of detail and prat. The characteristic bass bounce is still there too.
Enjoying this stripped system more than I ought to I think!

Angela Hewitt's Chopin nocturnes, in 24/96 AIFF. Interpretatively her own, and sounding drop-dead gorgeous. This is one recording where the high resolution is put to good use.

My preference for Dead live recordings seems to be '60's & '70's. That said, no matter what album it is, the music never fails to put me in a good mood. Feel good music, indeed.

Ernest Bloch's piano quintets and the other chamber music on this disc veer from serene to agitated, and on the whole are quite brilliant. They occupy a sound world I haven't heard before, but in terms of accessibility, modernism and musical language, think Shostakovich with a touch of Ligeti (I hope that makes any sense).
My disc's cover is more blue-greenish than pictured.

EJ
