Nazareth - Hair Of The Dog.
Classic Nazareth what a great voice Dan McCafferty has.

More old vinyl. This one is new to me. Recording is a bit dark and moody, sounds like it was recorded in a room that just sucks the life out the music (over produced?).

Sergei Rachmaninov: Nikolai Lugansky (Piano)
Préludes, Op. 23
Moments musicaux, Op. 16
Morceaux de fantaisies, Op. 3: no 2, Prélude in C sharp minor
Listening to music or watching someone else play music that is close to me is a pleasurable and emotional experience yet it is really only a substitute feeling. As good as it might be, the real "high" is finding those emotions deep down and feeling the power within that resonates through your own bones and gut when you are at the keyboard. Even in my own incompetent state when I fumble my way through these three pieces at a greatly reduced tempo it gives untold pleasure within. It is not at a Lugansky level but somehow it is so much better experience to have. The problem since the world of recordings and so much perfection, is that after listening / seeing someone like Lugansky it just makes the rest of us want to crawl in a hole and never come out (and yes, it is also so inspiring). When you have this group of elite players, who would lower their standards to listen to just about anyone else in the world. Alas, my four walls are a captive audience with little choice to break free and that is the OK.
The three pieces in the link below are the c-minor Prelude (Op. 23), the g-minor Prelude (Op. 23) and the Moments Musicaux in e-minor (op. 16, no. 4).

This one was a trip down memory lane. Back in the day was heavy into Jean Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream. Original vinyl still sounds great after all the years.

Now a trip down movie memory lane with classic tracks from the classic Clint Eastwood spaghetti western's. Again old vinyl that still sounds great.

Classic 80's with the Dream Academy, on vinyl, and a very good recording for the time.

Staying in the 80's with this classic from OMD. As always on vinyl and another $2 sidewalk sale special.
