What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Steve,

The album to go for is "Shout Out At The Fantasy Factory" as it is Traffic in the same vain.

Great stuff and I am sure you will enjoy it!

And the sleeve:

Roll Right Stones from the album is one of my favourite Traffic tracks from the era.

I really enjoy the sparseness and beauty of Part's compositions.  I became introduced to him when I heard a performance of 'Spiegel Im Spiegel' on the radio and found it very moving.  I got this album to hear more of his work.

If anyone is familiar with his work, album suggestions are most welcome.

These are *big boned* string Trios on an incredibly well preserved RCA plum shaded dog mono vinyl.
I love it.
