What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

On CD never been released on vinyl unfortunately.

On vinyl.

A lot of tracks not deemed good enough for the band's weakest album.

So a bit boring really. Nice sleeve though.

Hi K

Total agree only bought the vinyl for the sleeve art. Looks great in my Vinyl Art frame.

This is much more like it. New Order at their best. "The Peter Saville Show Soundtrack", issued in 2003 as a limited edition of 3,000. Great stuff, perfect to make dinner to.

Patrick Noland Trio: Passage to Thought.

Still can't undertand why such a great act never had much exposure by Naim's Label team. Hardly any info available on the net.  Unfair to concentrate on one single(s) act  just because of their  Ubber  Hypped Recording Studio "Phasing".

Come on guys!

Video 586 by New Order - 1997 CD issue of a cassette-only recording from 1982. Essentially a "soundscape" created (principally by Steve and Bernard) on an Apple II computer and used on the opening night on the Hacienda in May '82 - also on the famous "A Factory Outing" VHS.
