What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

13. Yes, Ozzy and gang can still do it.

And what a lovely surprise that the closing piece of the last track is a reprise of the opening of the first track of Sabbath's very first album. I can still recall the first time I heard that pouring rain and thunder which precedes Tony Iommi's stunning intro. Been a Sabbath fan ever since.

Bloch is worthwhile but tough... back to something smoother. Hewitt plays the nocturnes on her Fazioli, introverted, a tiny bit quicker than usual and with plenty of imagination.

Cheers,

Clean as a whistle. She might be dated now but love the tone of her voice.

Since strapping the 555PS back to the HDX the SN2 is really showing the benefit of a maxed out source.  The low noise floor presenting a very clean 'hear through' quality into the mix.....and sub-bass to die for! G
