What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

I have had this album on CD since it was released in early summer & to be honest it did not float my boat. However, my vinyl copy arrived today and all I can say is WOW.... It sounds like a different album, the production is superb, the SQ stunning, the pressing is flat and free from any surface noise. The gate fold art work is beautiful & signed by the band. Linn have made the music of Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo come to life in my lounge, its been well worth the wait, Well done Linn!

Listening to a track from Essie Jain reminded me to listen to Freedy.

Hi ewemon.

I love Freedy's music . I heard that he was struggling to find a record company for his last release. Have you heard anything recently?

regards Graham.

All I know is he is recording tracks for a new album but don't know if he has a label at the moment.

John Martyn's Live at the Hanging Lamp 1972, just released on vinyl, a rather nice offshoot from the Island Years multiple CD goody box which has also just come out. It's live as live can be and he turns 'electric' just over halfway through. Sterling stuff.
