With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Jason.

I noticed a few too many "brilliants" this evening...I must be in a good mood.

Easy on the akevitt, J.

Lol, yep that evil stuff, I will indulge one shot to keep good relations between our fine countries, but that's about it. Having said that, I have tasted some really fine smooth Danish and Swedish stuff.

Put this on at half time during the Sunderland v United match and didn't listen to the commentary in the second half

..the music is nice - however the recording is a bit strange as the high tones sounds very aggressive and are almost unbearable to listen to - or I do have a serious issue with my Naim kit.....

A well produced CD. Very enjoyable. Might research some more Counting Crows albums.

And for a complete contrast some bluesy rock from the US. Recording is a bit flat but then I think it is a 1970 recording.

Don't think they ever really topped this one, but try Recovering the Satellites, the second album.

Yep totally agree with you and such a pity it was recorded so badly which gave the album such a poor dynamic range.
