What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Snap Richard. Now on LP 2. They've certainly taken some hard edges off this album with this remaster.

That comment wasn't necessarily a positive Chris.  BoB was always a bright sometimes harsh production but that also part of the charm of this LP. Sometimes artificially smoothed out production is counter productive losing some character like listening to an LP with the wibbly wobbly arm.

True - with the Aro it's almost liquid chocolate - oh but then again - not so much

Yes - so do I - even if people don't like the music it is a stunningly eclectic album - imho - and I love it.

My wife doesn't - then again she doesn't care for the Cranberries and I don't get that - Doo dnt doo - Doo dnt doo

I was looking at that album since it is available in vinyl, too.

I have most of their older catalogue. Perhaps I shall give this one a try!

I have the original vinyl which is superb, but cant vouch for the re issue though I also have the cd. it really is a very good album with some amazing musicianship and still sounds fantastic IMHO.

Rob T,

I usually buy any Azymuth original records when I can find locally, but I haven't encountered the 'Light as a feather'. Then I saw a reissue popped up a few years ago.

I agree that their original vinyl sounds very good, indeed.

I don't have any of their other recordings, are there any you would highly recommend?

The Cow Palace was the same venue as "Live Rust" - a great LP with big, live acoustics.

How's the sound on this one?
