What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Original 1978 UK Harvest pressing of the first solo LP by the Floydian guitarist/singer.

Rather hesitant in places, but that only adds to its charm. Good selection of songs and some mighty fine geetar playing by The Big G. Sounds, as one might expect, like a stripped-down version of the Floyd.

Regarding pies! We have just got  back from a flying visit to London to see my first granddaughter. Did however manage to call into 'Piebury Corner' for some supply's it's defiantly worth a visit if you are in the Highbury Corner area.

1969 Richard. No he's not on the cover. I've just read the sleeve notes and it's not on this album that he is given a pseudonym, his identity is alluded to by Bob Brunnings earlier association with Fleetwood Mac ( he plays on one track of their debut album). He is given the pseudonym of Peter Blue on their next album I Wish You Would. This is also a very good LP although Peter Green only plays on one track.

I ordered it on Amazon but they have changed the estimated delivery date three times so far (admittedly the last change was to bring it forward - so good ) - but the "free" Autorip has whetted my appetite

Lou Reed "Rock n' Roll Animal"

did not know his music well, but have listened to this

in multiple formats for nearly 40 years and always
