What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Having a blitz of the kitchen, front room and bathroom today. This CD is quite a good accompaniment.

The complete Harmonies..., by Steven Osborne. Mixed feelings - I feel Osborne sometimes plays things too cleanly, missing an element of rapture. But he absolutely nails some key parts, like the introduction of Bénédiction.

Cheers,

Mindy Smith "Mindy Smith"

Unlike MS previous three albums which I liked from the off, this release has taken awhile to burn into my musical psyche.  The same gorgeous voice, good songs, and certainly worth the effort.

Really enjoying this Bowie album, can't believe I missed it when originally released, won't be making the same mistake when his new album is released that's for sure.
