What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Original 1977 orange label RCA pressing in gatefold. My favourite of his albums.

On the Charisma label, from 1977, a long-forgotten minor prog classic. On vinyl of course. Not bad at all

This album is a Studio Master Wav 24/96 hi-rez download from Sound Liaison.

Great music and great sound.Somehow the sound has an old fashioned character, placement and soundstage like and old jazz recording but then crystal clear.

The sound, not the music, reminds me of good all time best sounding album;Way out West ''from Sonny Rollins.
