What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

No need to go for the remastered version. SQ on original is superb.

Hi, what do you think about it?

I like it. Osborne is not a 'heart-on-sleeve' pianist, and his approach inevitably sounds a bit slick compared to Richter or Pogorelich - but I don't want to give the impression that he sounds too suave or doesn't have the cojones to play this music. About on par with Ashkenazy and nothing like Brendel's experiment in detachment. Can't say much about the Prokofiev, which I don't know well - nice music, though.

Cheers

EJ

I like normally Osborne

do you know the recordings of demidenko kissin or schepkin?

Paul Berner Band:Road to Memphis(Sound Liaison)

`This is a superb album.Superb musicians and superb SoundStage with incredible detail, intimacy, and naturalness without lacking space.

I believe the company when they call it a ''True Studio Master ''.It's a one to one Wav file copy of the Masterfile, only available direct from the recording studio, via their website:soundliaison.com .

If this is the future of Hi-Rez recording the future is looking good.
