What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Old Spandau Ballet on vinyl.  Very quiet pressing considering the age and the way records were pressed at the time.

You have listed 3 albums in the last 10 mins. Are you listening to them all at the same time? Which one are you actually listening to right NOW?

Hi, Jeff,

Interesting choice. What made you buy his album? The voice, the writing or something else?

To round the evening off with something slow-paced. Great recording this one and the title track is a peach.

Hi Tony

I am a sucker for good piano-based pop ballads.  Also have "All The Lost Souls" by JB and enjoy it as well.

Good listenin'

Simple explanation really, I enjoy listening to the albums so much I don' t want to spoil it by posting halfway through!! So I listen to a few and post at the end

Great music for chilling out on a winter's day.

Hate to inform you Geofiz, but winter does not begin for another six weeks . You're really going to have some chillin' to do then. Better start lining up the music. Enjoy!

When the lakes are iced over, snow is on the ground, and the mercury is consistently on the south side of 0, it is winter no matter what the calendar or solar conditions say.

Agree. Once the daylight savings time changes here in Seattle it seems like winter. It's now dusk at 4:30 pm. By the start of winter it will be dark just after 4 pm. Good news is that the "days will be getting longer" as they say. Good for chillin' and listening to music, as you noted. Cheers.
