What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

On CD. Coz Trevor Morais is a great drummer innit.

Also I love how they keep teetering on the brink of ultra-bland MOR...

It's an absolute recommendation - the music has a broad reach and very well executed....

Tangle Edge "Entangled Scorpio Entrance",  a live recording with no overdubs whatsoever, completely instrumental all the way through, I can listen to this for hours on end, which is a good thing because it's a dbl cd , with tracks called "The Cryptic Empire and The Principal Sanctuary" and "Walk of the Frozen Ones" you can't go wrong.
