What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Double vinyl.

1+

It's a fab album albeit a bit creepy, a bit psycho, a bit weird, but fantastic musically.

I've listened to other stuff he's done but it doesn't seem to hit this level.

Playing: On The Boarder

Except for Hotel Cal, i've never owned or listened to any other Eagles album, and now i have all 6 studio albums to hear, and 5 of them are new to me.

The sound quality is fantastic, really enjoying this box set!

Better late than never. Eagles really was a nice country rock band before Bernie Leadon left 1975.

It's good isn't it? Lezhneva colors her voice to Jaroussky's to the extent it's sometimes difficult to determine who sings which part.

Billy Squier. Signs of Life. On vinyl from 1984. A somewhat forgotten talent?

Pollini's thrill-a-minute Waldstein. Love It.

Led Zeppelin IV. On Atlantic vinyl 1974 pressing. Because I'm always reminded of Led when I hear Billy Squier.

Novaes' funky Waldstein. Wanna get up and dance.

The last composition she ever played. On November 13, 1993 while performing the Shostakovich Preludes at a concert in San Francisco, Nikolayeva was stricken by a cerebral haemorrhage and was unable to complete the concert. She died nine days later.

The Greatest Hits of Eric Burdon and The Animals. On Polydor vinyl circa 1969. Seems The Animals had more compilations than studio LPs. I like this one.
