In Absentia - Porcupine Tree
A great album and maybe not what you would expect.
Fine inner details and polished 'n' refined presentation. More or less played straight up.
I think I prefer Gardiner set better for HIP set as it generates more temperamental and firery excitement.
On a unusual black CD.
Wand's Beethoven is one of my reference performance for the 9th. Recorded in mi80s but the RCA did a great job remastering for this 2001 reissue box set. It sounds so effortless at climax without any congestions.

Both Brendel and Cooper are having a bad hair day on the cover but their playing is lovely.
Strictly genteel.
Jethro Tull. Original Masters. On Chrysalis vinyl from 1985. With some nice alternate mixes/versions.
Rickie Lee Jones. Pirates. On vinyl from 1981.
Janis Joplin. Pearl. On vinyl from 1971. Because it was filed just to the right of Rickie Lee Jones.

..during breakfast, don't like it too varied no clear structure...some parts are ok, but not cogesive enough..
