What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

Moravec Box set of Chopin Ballads, Preludes and Nocturnes.
So far, I've only managed to listen to 4 Ballads. They are so boring it's torturous.

Kempff, Michelangeli, Pollini, Richter or even Wunder still are my choice on Ballads.

Hopkinson Smith plays on vihuela; please remember at that time (1546) lute was the most popular instrument in Europe except in Spain where lute had meaning of arabic 'laud' and arabic occupation. So they used rather 'early-guitar' vihuela what has very low volume but very fine sound - can be heard on the CD too.

The Moody Blues - Days Of Future Passed.  Takes me back to a time when the world seemed ok. If they ever invent a time machine I will be first in the queue.

I'm at the Isle of Wight in 1970 watching the Sun go down to the side of the stage, perfectly timed to coincide with The Sun Set
