What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.IX)

With 2013 upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread. I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

As you will all no doubt recall Winky posted her first album at page 242 in Vol VIII. My introduction to Naim last year has seriously increased my time, and enjoyment, listening to music and this album made me smile the most when I first heard it. The only one in my collection where joik came up as the genre: it has openerd the door to Sami music.
I have just inherited this 15-LP box set. I shall be working my way through it in the next day or two
Looks interesting Kevin, let us know when youv'e had chance to listen.
Hi Kevin, hope you are well. This box does indeed look interesting. Inherited!
Regards Graham.
Very well thanks Graham. Yourself?

Hi Kevin,
I am good thanks. This box looks v interesting. I am not the biggest jazz fan in the world. However any jazz, blues, or soul on the Atlantic label gets my interest . Enjoy take care.

Hi Graham,
What's it like, do you have it on vinyl?
How are things with you, is the vinyl still sounding good?
Brgds,
Andy.

Hi Andy
Yes this is vinyl from Rockbox yesterday. I think this might be a dodgy pressing as end of side A sounds distorted. I will listen to second disc this morning (double vinyl) but will probably return it for replacement. Apart from pressing problem I like what I've heard so far.
LP12 is sounding fab.
Am now thinking about better record cleaner to further improve sound.
How is your system sounding?

Glad to hear you are still enjoying the LP12, interesting you are thinking of a better RCM to improve the sound further. I have the Moth now which gets regular use.
Please let me know how you get on with the Alicia Keys LP, I have been thinking of getting it myself.
My system is sounding great thanks, quite a few upgrades to my LP12, as you can see from my profile, most notably the Radikal!!
Now saving for an EkosSE to replace my ageing Ittok.
Audiovectors still sound stunning!
Cheers,
Andy.
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
25 Years of Dr Feelgood [Double CD]
40 tracks of brilliant 'Feelgood' music.

On Vinyl
Tears For Fears - The Seeds Of Love
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
Magnificent music. I keep going back and forth from Schirmer to Smirnova, never tiring of the suites.
